Pollo Norte has an amazing story of bringing rotisserie chicken inspired by Mexico City to Portland. As stated on their menu, “everything but the beer is gluten free.” Woohoo! In the summer, the outdoor seating is fabulous for bringing the dog and the indoor seating has a great vibe year-round. We also sometimes get it as take out (pictured below). The way to go is to order the chicken with sides – we like a half bird for two people – then a medium side of get frijoles charros (pinto beans) and rice. And add two small sides of the best potatoes ever and coleslaw. And three extra HOMEMADE tortillas for $1. So yes, we basically order everything and it’s delicious. Don’t judge. We haven’t tried the burrito bowls, but I doubt you could go wrong.
