*UPDATE* BigWig now has their own brick and mortar location across the street from Archive in downtown Salem!
I still remember the first time I saw the “Gluten Free Donuts” sign outside of Archive Coffee in Salem in 2014. I was a bit incredulous and obviously had to go inside. I was then introduced to the world’s best donut holes (and got hooked on Archive as a study spot). I’ve followed BigWig since then even after leaving Salem. They are a pop up shop, but they consistently are at Archive in Salem on Tuesdays and Fridays minimum and then sometimes make it up to a Tea Bar location in Portland (and I’ve grateful when they do!). When I went this weekend, they had cinnamon and sugar (classic), chocolate (husband’s fav), lemon poppyseed (my fav), and raspberry (my new fav). They only make these donuts, so it’s dedicated gf, plus they are vegan! The owners are wonderful people and around Valentine’s day and such they have fun additional items such as flower arrangements. And their Instagram is just lovely. If you are in Salem occasionally or regularly, Archive is also a wonderful spot any day of the week – you can see my post here!
